The women's national football team (She-Amavubi) is not among the countries that will compete in the 2025 CECAFA Senior Women's Championship, which will be held in Tanzania from June 13-21. The championship will feature five teams playing in a round robin format. It will be held at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam. Rwanda’s failure to participate is reportedly due to financial constraints. The opening match will be between defending champions Uganda and Burundi on Friday, while Tanzania will face South Sudan on the same day.
